This place has a little of everything. The fried pickles are awesome and so are the onion rings. Their buffalo chicken sandwich is the perfect blend of spicy and tangy. It's a good value for a lot of food.

This place has a really cool atmosphere. Definitely one of a kind in Brownsville. I came here and ordered the Belden Burger which came with fried onions, fried pickles, and fried jalapenos. The burger was delicious until you try the meat on its own. The meat here is very underseasoned in my opinion. It has pretty much no flavor aside from a bland beef flavor. That's the only reason i am taking off a star. Other than that the burger was really good. The fries were nicely seasoned. The service was quick and they have many different menu options. I recommend this place to anyone in Brownsville looking for a unique burger restaurant, but if you're the type of person who enjoys burgers plain and dry, you will probably not like the meat that you are served.

This place makes a dang good burger. I went here and got the Belden Burger which is fried onions, jalepenos, and pickles on a burger. It was very good. My wife got the patty melt and liked it but said it really needed to come with some sauce because it came plain. One thing the restaurant could improve on is that the menus were spread all over the place. Like above the counter, on the side of the counter, along the wall, on the back wall, and half way down along the wall. It really made it difficult determining what was available here.

Outstanding! Fresh meat burger, just delicious. Wife had chicken salad, again very good. Next time in Brownsville we'll be stopping by!

When you pull up to the building you're instantly hit with a taste of nostalgia. Old Coke signs and pictures of actors of days long gone adorn the wall.The menu is expansive, and covers everything. From tacos to sandwiches, salads to burgers, anyone can find something great to eat here.For pricing: it's higher than expected for the area, though the quality and freshness of the food makes up for it. You can eat comfortably for just shy of ten dollars.I ordered the Double Meet/Double Cheese combo and was in love after the first bite. Cooked perfectly, the burgers ooze in deliciousness. Patties are perfect size, not too big where they come out undercooked and not to small where they are dry.French fries were on par, with plenty of sauces to choose from.Definitely a great place to stop for lunch, and one of my favorite burger joints in Brownsville. Highly recommend.

Me and my son had a bacon cheeseburger and it was one of the best burgers we have had here in town. My baby girl had the cheese enchilada plate and she loved it. Great atmosphere! Very clean overall. Definitely we will be back. ❤

First of all, order the FRIED PICKLES!!! Oh my goodness! The burgers are excellent. Moist and seasoned well. Family of 5 - 2 bacon cheddar burgers, 1 "The Legend", 1 turkey burger, and 1 Buffalo burger. All burgers were gone! Onion rings and French fries are quite tasty as well. Finished it off with a chocolate milkshake (shared it because we were too full to each get one). It was amazing. Great ambiance. Fun music. Nice waitress. Service is fast. We recommend this place if a burger is what you're craving.

You've come to the right place. The burgers are phenomenal! Everything is fresh, the meat, the toppings, made with such dedication and commitment you wouldn't want to put it down. The fajitas were so tender and rich in flavor, couldn't have enough. The staff were very friendly and attentive soon as you walk through the door. The atmosphere takes you back to a better time.

I love the rustic but modern feel of the restaurant, the food was good for the price. But the main attraction was the atmosphere.

The bacon cheddar burger was hearty enough for me to be satisfied, but there were hardly any spices applied to the patty. The bread was surprisingly resistant to the condiments and oils, so that was refreshing. Those onion rings were just as delicious and crunchy as the picture makes them out to be. The fries there are ok (my wife had them, but she tried an onion ring and stated that she should've gotten the onion rings), but get the onion rings instead unless you're averse to onions.The absolute WORST part of my first Spanky's experience was their sweet tea. The raspberry one actually tastes like raspberry, so that was GREAT. They use Luzianne tea.The variety of burgers and food in general is very conducive to attracting happy first timers back to try their other menu items.My wife and I can't wait till that next time we go back!

I am a regular here at Spanky's and love this place. I had never ordered the Fish sandwich before and boy was I missing something. Just like their hamburgers, the fish burger was awesome. Great severing and well made. I recommend that you order it with extra tartar sauce as the tarter sauce is excellent as well. One great combo....!!!! Real good burgers. You get great sized burgers and great fries. If you want to watch the game you can. You can sit inside or outside.

Great custom burgers! All of their menu items are very generous in portions. Most meals big enough for two so make sure you have a big appetite !! Armosphere is relaxed and staff are friendly. 10-15 minutes wait on your order but that is not bad for a freshly made burger !! Not cheap or pricey, expect to spend about $10-12 for lunch.

Totally awesome burgers man great taste we crave and have to go back , awesome staff fast service and a whole lot of other things on the menu great for everyone.

Good burgers quick service

Stopped in for lunch with wife to share a hamburger. We both ordered our own shakes. Both were very tasteless and mentioned this to waitress who stepped behind the counter to tell manager within plain sight of us. The manager stood there behind the counter for 10 minutes obviously waiting for us to leave. He finally came out to speak to us once he realized we were not leaving without some response from him. His response to our complaint was that's how we make them and basically too bad for us after paying $19 for one hamburger and two shakes. Full disclosure we have eaten here before and had no problems but any business that handles their customer service in this manner I will show no loyalty to. This was my last trip there and I will not recommend to any of my friends.

This place is a little out of the way from the main highway. They have so many burger options outside the norm. They also have other items like mexican dishes and hot sandwiches. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Spanky's is a neat local burger business. My coworker recommended the establishment to us and we were not disappointed. They offer a selection of different burgers, mexican foods, and other foods at a good price. We will definitely be back to enjoy Spanky's.
